We're Unredacted, a 501(c)(3) non-profit. We build Internet infrastructure for people who can't freely access the Internet.
In dozens of countries, governments block news sites, messaging apps, and social platforms. We run the infrastructure that gets around that. We believe privacy is a right and that free, open access to information matters.
What we run:
FreeSocks: free proxies for people in heavily censored countries. Tens of thousands of access keys issued so far.
Tor exit relays and bridges. Our exit family is among the largest on the Tor network by bandwidth, and we're still scaling it.
Signal and Telegram proxies, so people can reach those apps without their ISP or government seeing it.
Free services anyone can use: XMPP.is (running for over a decade), a Matrix homeserver, a Mastodon instance, PrivateBin, and encrypted file sharing.
All of it runs on hardware we own, with redundant power, network, and storage. We serve hundreds of terabytes of traffic a month.
Donations go almost entirely to servers, bandwidth, power, and hardware. One paid staff member, everyone else volunteers.
Your donation keeps the proxies up and the services free.
