Animal Defenders Indonesia is a non-profit organization founded in 2011. The organization focuses on rescuing domestic animals—primarily dogs and cats—through four main pillars: Rescue, Rehab (Rehabilitation), Rehome (Adoption), and Educate (Education).
Profile and Main Activities:
- Rescue & Investigation: Responding to various reports of violence, neglect, abuse, and even theft of animals across multiple regions.
- Care & Shelter: Housing and rehabilitating hundreds of neglected animals, including training dogs with trauma or behavioral issues such as aggression.
- Adoption Events (Adoption Day): Regularly organizing events to find new families for dogs and cats that have been rehabilitated in their shelter.
- Public Education: Educating the public on animal welfare, animal rights, and how to report legal cases related to animal cruelty.
